While studying a Master degree at the London School of Economics in 1996, I bought by coincidence BKS Iyengar’s book Light on Yoga without suspecting it would change my life.

My need to deepen my understanding of Iyengar yoga grew stronger class after class.  The mysterious experience of inner peace accompanied by a profound desire to understand the living architecture of the body, led me to become a qualified teacher.

I have now been teaching since 2002 in several countries, including the UK.  A member of the Iyengar Yoga UK Association (www.iyengaryoga.org.uk), I hold a full teaching insurance and currently teach in SW London.

I feel truly privileged for having studied twice (2008 and 2011) with the Iyengar family at the Institute in Pune, India.  And, ever so grateful to all and each of my teachers who have taken me from the darkness of ignorance closer to the light of the soul. In addition, I am deeply thankful to all and each of my students who have also taught me so much.

My love and passion for Iyengar Yoga also grew through my own three pregnancies, and its practice was invaluable for all and each of my amazing fully natural births experiences.  These experiences awoke my passion for birth and led me to embark on another life journey as a doula, or birth partner.

Over the years, I have realized how important it is to apply the teachings of yoga into our daily life.  With perseverance and a regular practice, our aspiration is that asanas or yoga poses, become “meditation in action”.  That is a gateway to align body, mind and heart, and help us sail with greater awareness through our life journey.
